MS Girls and some pimping

While Marvin’s out in Japan enjoying the scenery and recharging his otaku batteries, Ngee is out collecting MS Girl pics, one of which is the this coolsome Zeta MS Girl I featured in today’s entry. You can visit his blog to see more of them ladies in mecha armor.

I, on the other hand, just managed to find time last weekend to finally go about putting together my MG Zaku II ver. 2.0. Talk about backlog! Well, I didn’t even bother painting it. I simply put it together, tried to remove as much plastic flash as possible with my pocket knife and then sprayed it with Mr. Super Clear. I’ll post pictures when I find time to take them.

Do you paint your model kits or do you just put them together as is?

  1. lol, thanks for the pimping Mark. ^^
I usually paint my kits before putting them together, but I do that while they’re still on the sprues. (yep, I’m a lazy painter). Although now I’m tring to find a professional to paint my HG dendrobium kit, wouldn’t want to take the risk of blotching up the paint job myself. ^^
regarding the MG Zaku II ver 2.0, I chose not to paint mine as well. ^^ hope to see how your kit turns out. aabangan ko ang mga litratong popost mo. ^^
btw I’ve been meaning to ask you what plugin you used for your Danny Choo feature feed. I’ve been looking for a feed plugin for the new wordpress for more than a month now. nothing seems to work on it.
btw2 heard about the new GFF. saw your name above mine at wasabi toys. ^^ congratulations. ^^

  2. [...] appreciated. ^^ also I’d also like to thank Mark of Winterheim HDD for the link on one of his blog entry as well. love ya [...]

  3. Hi Mark! Nice to know that you like that MS Girl posting as well :)

I don’t paint my Gunpla either. I just assemble the model, panel-line the parts, cover-up the ‘cut wound’ with Gundam markers and it’s done. I don’t think my Gunpla will like that, but airbrush (good one) costs a bomb here in my place, and getting one means that I’ll be out of Gunplas for months ToT

Between the long term benefit of airbrush and the excitement of being able to get the latest models, I chose the later. I don’t think I have the patience to see everyone having fun with the latest Gunpla and I’m missing out XD

I’m using the free version of WordPress so that feed widget is built in. I’m not really sure what they used for it.

I would love to eventually own an airbrush but since I rarely buy model kits, I can settle for spraycans for now. I’m definitely going to be able to save on cans for the Gundam Unicorn since I’m only using three to four colors: matte black, matte white, navy blue (for the feet) and german gray or gunmetal gray.
