Upcoming Gundam Merch

Back with some news on some upcoming Gundam merchandise. These are mostly from the 0079 era and are version 2.0’s of previous releases. So let’s get on with it.

MG G Armor for the MG RX-78-2 ver. 2.0. Personally, I find the face of the RX-78-2 ver. 2.0 ugly. I’m still for either the ver. Ka head design or the ver. OYW head design. The RX-78-2 ver. 2.0 comes with a longer face/chin. Not nice if you ask me. But then this was how it looked like back then. And now they’re releasing it with the G-Armor parts. If you own a GFF Metal Composite RX-78-2 Gundam ver. Ka, you’ll know what the G-Armor parts are.

The RX-78-2 ver. 2.0 does not appear to show any new stuff or additional detail from its predecessor, aside from the obvious cosmetic changes due to a more updated inner frame. I think the head also comes detailed already unlike the other versions of the RX-78-2.

Display image of the Guntank in its ver. 2.0 glory. There are new gimmicks on its armaments as well as its treads but as to what exactly they do, we’re not aware of yet. Looks like Bandai’s going to release the entire V Project MS team this year.

Zeon’s answer to the then-powerful Guncannon. The Zaku Cannon offers added artillery and cover fire support. But unlike the Guncannon that has the core system, this Zaku is really just a Zaku fitted with a cannon on its right shoulder and additional rounded weaponry on its arms. This one appears to be using the Zaku ver. 2.0 frame. Well of course it should.

Colored prototype of the Guntank ver. 2.0. Looks nice. Don’t plan to buy it though.

Last but definitely not the least is the HGUC Kaempfer. I’m happy with BAndai releasing tons of HGUCs of model kits that they had previously released as Master Grades. This kit looks promising.

Now if only I can find time to begin working on those two Unicorns… ToT
