Saw this at Amiami.com. I can’t read Japanese but I did notice a 1/144 scale written underneath the image. Now I’m not sure if that’s 1/144 model kit or 1/144 action figure. Nevertheless, this looks quite awesome and with the release of the 1/144 Alteisen Riese, this would be an awesome compliment to the hard hitting red personal trooper.
Edit: Saw more images of it in SRW Hotnews where it was posted apparently last June 5. >_< So yes, it’s a 1/144 model kit by Kotobukiya and not an action figure. You can see more in-the-flesh pics of the Rein Weissritter here. The release date is said to be on November at 4,800 Yen.
Rein Weissritter is the transformed Weissritter Personal Trooper piloted by Excellen Browning after it was capture and modified by the Einst, one of the antagonists in the SRW videogame franchise. From the somewhat angelic-knight design of the Weissritter which is German for White Knight, it gets bat-like features and in the game, when this comes out, gets more firepower, and HP regen among other things. It’s also harder to hit and has a wider shooting range which is already a lot considering it’s a sniper. It’s beam rifle is called the Howling Launcher. Quite apt if you ask me.
