Ever since I had to give up my company laptop, I’ve been in dire need of a gadget to help me keep tabs and manage my schedule on the fly. The Nokia 6300 has a good calendar app but I felt that it simply wasn’t enough. So I figured maybe this would be a good opportunity for me to try out other mobile phone brands and I’ve always been wondering how it was like to be an SE user since Chil was one before I got her her 6300.
I know there would be some people (or a lot of people although that doesn’t really matter) who would say I should have just gotten an iPhone. But I felt that if I were to get an iPhone, I would be more towards catering to a fad rather than actually finding a tool that I can work with. I know other people have gotten used to the touchscreen keyboard but I prefer to write with a stylus and if the screen fails, I want to have a way to still navigate around and if that happens with the iPhone, you don’t have a keypad or a dial that you can use to navigate through your phone.
And so I ended up purchasing a Sony Ericsson W960i. (specs from GSMArena)

I liked being able to write with a stylus, having 8Gb of memory, Wi-Fi, and being able to send SMS using either my stylus, an onscreen keyboard or the multitap keypad. I also liked the color mix and the rubber grip at the back. The phone fits nicely in my hand and I can type with one hand or with both hands. I can manage MS Office documents here as well. I’m also happy with being able to adjust my screen’s brightness which I couldn’t do with the 6300 so it was a pain if someone sent me an SMS in the middle of the night and I’d look at my phone in a dark room. Somehow, I’m glad I switched to SE.

Switching to SE is a good thing.. been loyal to SE since T610 came out years ago and currently using my W850i for almost year now… and just sold my 2-month-old Nokia E61i today. SE designs and battery life are better than Nokia’s.
hey i use the same phone too
but i just misplaced my usb cable
It’s a really nice phone. I’m absolutely enjoying it.
