So I mentioned in a previous post that I had recently switched from being a Nokia user to an SE user and I’m lovin’ it. But probably one of the best features this phone has is its focusing capabilities on its built-in 3.2 megapixel camera. I mean, yeah, I own a 10 megapixel DSLR but if you’re working at an office where gadgets brought in need a permit which takes a lot of time and a lot of signatories, then your phone is the closest you can get to shooting pictures on your desk. Like what I’ve been doing. ^_^;;
When I need to take a break from work, I have small toys on my desk that I can diddle with (that sounds so naughty) just to clear my head. So there’s my Revoltech Optimus Prime/Convoy and recently added was my Revoltech EVA-01 Type F. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get a Revoltech Yoko and Figma Kanu Unchou soon to add to the bunch.
So I would make them stand around and pose like they’re duking it out with each other but of course, you’d have to make the shots epic but with your limited resources, you have to make do with what you have and for me, what I have is my SE W960. The shots look nice and large but they still look quite dusty. They look much better when you shrink the pics to blog-size.

Here’s the EVA-01 dashing forward to make a grab for Prime’s balls, I mean, his Matrix of Leadership (ooooh, so that’s what they call THAT these days *winkwink*). The camera is able to focus on Prime and blur everything else or focus on the EVA-01 and blur Prime which is quite nifty. Of course, the depth-of-field is limited but the blurring is good to be considered decent. The color quality is nice too. Not too saturated and not too diluted.
You’ll notice that the EVA-01 looks livelier than when I first pulled it out of the box. That’s because I put panel lines on to it just like what you see on Prime. More details in the next post.

how’s the camera when you use it on dark environments i.e. poorly lit areas like outside a mall, a bar or restaurant? i heard that the phone doesn’t have a flash.
The phone has a double LED flash that acts more like a torch than a flash. For poorly lit areas, like all LED flash cameraphones, shutterspeed is slowed down. But with steady hands, you can still shoot decent shots.
