Black Tiger Deck

Went to Greenbelt 5 today looking for a Ricoh LC-1 lens cap for my Lumix LX3. They ran out of stock. T_T

So I went to the shop nearby for some consolation purchases. I left the store with a deck of cards.

It’s Bicycle’s Black Tiger deck. I’ve been wanting to own one of these. This is the least expensive version of the Black Tiger cards. There are other versions can be costlier and I just couldn’t justify paying that much for a pile of cards unless I was actually into doing card tricks. But I have always found these cards to be really cool. For those who don’t know Black Tiger cards, if the regular deck has a white background and black print, it’s the inverse for the Black Tiger deck. The background is completely black and the print is completely white. There’s a more expensive version where the diamond and heart suits are printed in red. The one I got was a completely monochromatic version which I don’t really mind. It’s just going to be confusing for some people when using this for poker night.

I’m really liking the look and feel of these cards. They aren’t the usual air-cushion cards that you can buy at the supermarket or bookstore counters. The cards seem to be a bit wider and the make of the cards are better than what we have here locally.

As I said earlier, all the suits are colored in the same way. So the red ones are also set to white. Should be interesting to play with this deck under a black light but that would make everyone in the poker table sterile by the end of the evening.

This deck is cool. So is Kaito’s ice cream stick.
